The Rocketface® Workshop Website Building Process

During the course of this tutorial, we'll be following a step-by-step process of building a website that ensures good quality in our site design. By approaching the building of a website in carefully controlled steps the job becomes quite manageable and the results will be very professional. Below is an outline of what I consider to be the ideal process of building a website.

The Five Step Website Building Process

1 - Analyze Website:
The what, why and how of invisioning a concept for your website. Breaking down the purpose of your website and the audience you want to reach.

2 - Organize Website:
Making major decisions such as content, navigation and layout. Arranging your website into a whole and intelligently functioning unit that expresses your ideas.

3 - Develop Website:
Creating a working site outline and the nuts and bolts of construction. Working out the details and possibilities of your website.

4 - Implement Website:
Uploading your site to the web and fine tuning website performance. Carrying out the practical expression of your website through careful planning.

5 - Maintain Website:
How to keep your website up and running while you expand and fine tune it. How to maintain your website and it's character.
